What is burnout?
There isn't one single definition of burnout. Overall, it's the physical or mental collapse caused by overwork or chronic stress. Burnout affects our emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health.
Symptoms of burnout can vary from person to person.
We may feel as if we cannot stop and have little or no support.
I am here to tell you that is not true.
It does, however, start with you.
I myself have experienced burnout. I felt as if I had no control, but I did, and I took it back.
A lot of the time, we don't even realize we are at burnout. Most of the time, something happens to force us to stop and take better care of ourselves. It's similar to coming out of a toxic relationship and reflecting back on what happened and what we can do in the future to prevent it from happening again.
In Burnout to Badass, I will explain ways to cope with burnout, how to prevent it, and some of the symptoms it causes.
Some of the things that will be discussed will be: mindfulness, time management, boundary setting, learning to say no, self-care and self-love, releasing shame and guilt,regaining control, and tapping back into your spiritual side.
I will be doing a short meditation at the end of the class to help clear and release any stagnant energy that may be holding you back.
Please bring a journal and a yoga mat.
